Guinea Pigs and Hamsters

Meh, so i know this is a site about small furry rodents but to be fair puppies are small and fuzzy too ;P so i will write about it because its late and im waiting for my laundry to be done so i can go to sleep. Anywho, shes a collie/shepherd mix.. 4 months old at the time and she has taken a particular liking to me even though she is technically my sisters dog. So about a week ago Pippy died, i was kind of expecting it though.. she had been sick for a few days so i was just glad that she wasnt suffering anymore. i do miss her dearly although, i made her the cutest coffin ^^ so i was hoping maybe someone could help me diagnose what she was actually sick with? it wasnt wet tail, im familiar with that illness. she lost weight, became sluggish, but she was still eating and drinking fine. i dont think its contagious cause she was still in the same cage as... so we have 4 hamsters 2 are robo dwarf hamsters we bought them together so they told us we could keep them in a cage together. We have never had a promblem with them before but yesterday when we cleaned out their cage we noticed that the little one (theodore) had a cut or scar that takes up most of his lower back right above his tail. Petsmart told us they do not handle hamsters in their vet services. And the only animal hospital open today is charging 200 just to look at him. Does anyone have... Read full post
